The donation follows a strong performance in the pool from the Starfish Team at this year’s event.
Andy McCabe and the Starfish swimmers are delighted to receive a donation from Neil Thompson from the Reform Programme Trust. In expressing our gratitude to Neil, Andy commented that local “community funding is vital for Starfish and it’s especially pleasing to meet supporters and for them to see the outcomes of their generosity at first hand.
Starfish are truly grateful and indebted once again to Mattel and their employees for their generosity and dedication to our club. Their continued support has directly benefited all our members by funding additional teachers. The impact of the additional teachers is measurable in gala performances and improvements made by our members.
Peter Hunt, the Starfish Treasurer is gratefully receiving a cheque for nearly £700 from past Mayoress Julia Jenner following the Gala Night that she produced earlier this year.
Starfish are extremely grateful for all the support for the annual fundraising event “Walnut Tree Tapas & Christmas Fayre”. This has taken place in early November for the last 5 years in Walnut Tree pub of Bourne End. Special thanks to Aisling Jenkins and Walnut Tree management who have made this event a great success.
Huge thanks to Mick Doyle of Berkeley Installations who donated £2500 towards the brand new swimming kits for all swimmers. Team Starfish now all look very smart and professional at swimming galas and in members’ swimming sessions.
