SUMMARY:Braywick swim session
DESCRIPTION:Hi All \nFirstly\, we hope that you are all safe and well. \nIf you notice members who are not included on this email please forward it to them. \nFollowing the Government’s latest announcements\, Braywick has confirmed that Starfish can resume on Saturday 5th December! \nAll members (assisted and lane swimmers) can return strictly in line with the rules that we have outlined below (repeated again below). Please note that assistance in the water may only be provided by a member of the same family bubble (including carer). There will be no other volunteers or mixing of volunteers allowed with assisting swimmers. \nBraywick has emphasised that anyone over the age of 11 needs to wear a mask to enter & leave the centre unless they have a medical exemption. Challenging for some I know\, but please try to comply with this\, for everyone’s benefit. \nPlease explain and reinforce these rules to your members as best you can\, including to avoid contact with others in the water if possible. Obviously please follow government advice & do not attend if anyone in your bubble is showing symptoms. \nIf you do not wish or feel up to returning yet it’s fine\, just let us know. \nLogistics:\n– Session timing: 17.00-17.40 / .45 / .50 (staggered pool exit to reduce interaction & shower / changing bottleneck).\n– Venue: Braywick Leisure Centre\, Braywick Cemetry\, Maidenhead SL6 1DJ\n– Pay & display parking\n– Lockers require padlock. \nArrival:\n– Braywick staff will take temperatures on arrival in the foyer. Please do not bypass this check.\n– If you arrive early please wait in your car.\n– If any temperature is outside the normal tolerance you wont be allowed to enter / swim.\n– Face covers must be worn by everyone over age of 11 unless a medical condition prevents it. Swimmers’ (only swimmers) face covers may be removed when poolside. Others must remain on when poolside.\n– Please use sanitizer if available when entering the building.\n– Swimmers should arrive pool-ready and lockers may be used.\n– Non-swimmers should wear overshoe covers (available on entering the changing rooms) or they will be required to go barefoot when poolside.\n– Swimmers and parents should then go & sit poolside (not upstairs) until called into the water.\n– Please observe social distancing in the poolside seating area\, sitting in family bubbles. \nExit:\n– Pool exit will be staggered by the teachers to manage the flow of swimmers to limit interaction & grouping.\n– Showers may be used on existing the pool (note there are only poolside showers (no enclosed showers) at Braywick).\n– Changing rooms may also be used.\n– Please exit the changing area & venue promptly. We must exit the building by 18.10 latest as it will close sharp @ 18.15. \nRegards\nStarfish Committee
